'Aggie' (Nut photo) Seedling selection orig. by N. H. Hander, Tex-Han Nursery, Belton, TX. Discovered in 1953, introd. in 1960. Nut: elliptic with obtuse apex and base, laterally compressed (taller than wide) to round in cross section; 69 nuts/lb, 63% kernel; kernels golden in color with smooth texture, wide dorsal grooves, and very tight basal cleft; shells easily, quality good. Up to eight nuts per cluster. Tree vigorous, prolific.
