'Govett' (Caloro)Orig. as native selection in Seguin, TX by R. C. Govett. Intro. in 1922. Original tree estimated to be 100 years old in 1957. Nut: oblong with acute apex and obtuse base; flattened in cross section; 55 nuts/lb, 57% kernel; kernels golden in color with wide dorsal grooves and deep secondary dorsal grooves. Protogynous. Seed parent of 'F. W. Anderson'.
