'GraCross' Seedling selection in orchard of Harry V. Cross , South Sabine River near Greenville, Hunt County, TX. Discovered in 1950; Plant Patent 4236, issued April 4, 1978, assigned to O. S. Gray, Jr., Arlington, TX. Nut oblong elliptic, with obtuse apex and base; shell with prominent dark stripes; 42 nuts/lb, 59% kernel; kernels cream to golden in color, with prominent veins; dorsal grooves medium wide, deep. Protogynous.
