'James Early' Seedling selection made by G. W. James from orchard near Brunswick, Chariton County, MO. Discovered in fall of 1984. Plant Patent 7419 recieved Jan. 15, 1991, assigned to James Pecan Farms, Inc. Nut: oblong with acute apex and base; round in cross section; 104 nuts/lb; kernels with very prominent, wide basal cleft. Very early nut maturity, ripening 10-15 days prior to 'Starking Hardy Giant'.
